Anthony J. DelNegro, Jr., 56 of Woodrow, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 1, 2026. It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Anthony J. Del Negro Jr. , who departed this world on June 1, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on January 17, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York. Anthony was the cherished son of Nancy and the late Butchie Del Negro. He is survived by his loving brother, Jonathan Del Negro, and sister-in-law, Laurie Del Negro. Anthony was a devoted father to Elizabeth Mecca and her husband, Anthony Mecca, and to his dear son, Anthony Del Negro. Anthony was also a beloved uncle to Nicholas and Jonathan Del Negro, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and humor. The pride and joy of his life were his grandchildren, Angelina and Anthony Mecca. Anthony�s legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. A man of integrity and work ethic, Anthony was a proud member of Local 20 and the District Council of Carpenters. His working hands were a testament to the dedication he had toward his career, building not just structures but also lifelong relationships. Beyond his work as a carpenter, Anthony had a passion for the thrilling world of international jet ski racing, where his competitive spirit shone brightly. Anthony was a man who embodied generosity and warmth, often described as someone who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. His love for the New York Yankees was matched only by his love for his family and friends, whom he treasured deeply. A service to honor Anthony�s remarkable life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Child, located at 4747 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10312. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Anthony�s spirit will live on in the memories we share and the love he bestowed upon us all. Rest in peace, dear Anthony.
